Microsoft Teams Up With CNBC to Extend Its Mobile Advertising Syndication Alliance
Microsoft Corp. and CNBC Inc., on September 22, announced that Microsoft will be the exclusive third-party provider of mobile WAP site display advertising to CNBC.com’s U.S. mobile audience of 1.1 million unique monthly visitors. This alliance represents Microsoft’s first mobile ad syndication deal in the U.S. and is an extension of the companies’ online advertising collaboration announced last December.

IAB and Five UK Mobile Operators Come Together to Promote Mobile Advertising
The "BIG" five mobile operators in the UK – 3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone UK, on September 23, partnered with IAB to form a Mobile Steering Group (MSG) to oversee and advise on the trade body’s strategy to educate the advertisers and agencies about the benefits of mobile advertising.
With significant funding from all five UK operators, IAB will officially widen its remit to serve the mobile advertising industry and extend their offering with a series of initiatives over the next 12 months and beyond. With plans to hire a senior mobile manager in October, the IAB aims to grow the medium through dedicated events, educational publications and research essential to its development.
